Creating an adequate surgical plane via optimal traction is essential for liver parenchymal tran.1,2 However, creating an appropriate surgical plane field is more technically challenging in laparoscopic hepatectomy compared to that in open hepatectomy owing to the limited instrument mobility and lack of direct use of the operator’s hand.
