Consensus of recommendations in management of liver metastasis from colorectal cancer Young Chul Yoon It has been ten years since version 1 of the Korea Colorectal Cancer Treatment Recommendation was created. In 2022, the revision of the colorectal cancer treatment recommendation was initiated, and two hepatobiliary surgeons and two interventional radiologists reviewed the management of resectable liver metastasis. For the initial seven key questions, 17,132 works of literature were searched using Medline, EMBASE, Cochrane, and KoreaMed, and finally, it was decided to update the three key questions. First, what is the treatment effect of radiofrequency ablation or cryotherapy compared to conventional surgical resection? Second, what are the results of simultaneous resection versus staged resection in colorectal cancer patients with resectable liver metastases? Third, when resectable liver metastasis is discovered, which method is better, upfront surgery or surgery after neoadjuvant chemotherapy? As the revision is still in progress, it is likely a good recommendation for many doctors currently treating in clinical practice when the modification is completed.
