[LV VE 7] Schwannoma Of The Liver Presented As A Cystic Liver Tumor.

Background : A 51-year-old woman had abdominal discomfort for 3 months and a palpable mass in the right upper quadrant. The CT scan and MRI of the upper abdomen revealed a cystic tumor in the right lobe of the liver, measuring 18.6 cm in size. The preoperative diagnosis was IPN-B. She underwent right hepatectomy, and the pathology report showed a Schwannoma measuring 17x5x5 cm.
Methods : Review of medical records and video of the operation.
Results : The patient recover uneventfully and discharged on the 8th postoperative day.
Conclusions : Schwannoma presented as a cystic tumor mimic IPN-B.
