Background : Gallbladder cancer is a lethal disease, which require radical resection for cure. Minimally invasive surgery plays role in most hepatobiliary operation. Herein, we would like to present a case of gallbladder carcinoma underwent laparoscopic radical cholecystectomy with liver resection and systematic lymphadenectomy .
Methods : We have reported a case of gallbladder carcinoma, who received laparoscopic radical cholecystectomy with systematic lymphadenectomy and en bloc liver resection.
Results : A 59-year-old woman presented with incidentally found gallbladder mass on computed tomography during working up for pericardial effusion. Laparoscopic radical cholecystectomy was performed. the operative time was 270 min, and blood loss was 50 ml. The postoperative period was uneventful. The pathological results showed moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma, T3N1M0.
Conclusions : This case demonstrated feasibility and safety of minimally invasive surgery for locally advanced gallbladder carcinoma.
