Background : Laparoscopic Liver Resection is a technically challenging operation that is slowly finding its way in clinical practice. We embarked on our laparoscopic Journey at Shaukat Khanum Memorial cancer Hospital Peshawar in April 2021. We present a video of the first totally laparoscopic right hepatectomy performed in Pakistan and that too in a resource poor province such as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This was undertaken without any direct mentorship and therefore we would like to present the video with relevant steps highlighted
Methods : Video presentation of the first laparoscopic right hepatectomy performed in Pakistan
Results : Operative time was 10 hours. blood loss was 360mls. No postoperative complications were encountered. Length of stay was 5 days and Post operative histopathology showed R0 margin with colorectal liver metastasis.
Conclusions : Laparoscopic Right Hepatectomy is feasible inspite of being in a resource poor setting.
