Background : Intrahepatic Subcapsular hematoma is a rare condition after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. Only a number of cases has been reported literature. However it is a potential life threatening condition. Management depends on clinical condition and presentation with multi-disciplinary approach.
Methods : Two cases of Intrahepatic subcapsular hematoma in early postoperative period after emergency laparoscopic cholecystectomy are reported.
Results : Two different approaches were adopted: one patient was treated conservatively while another one was managed with angiographic embolization and imaged-guided drainage.
Conclusions : Successful management of intrahepatic Subcapsular hematoma depends on early detection and timely intervention with multi-disciplinary approach.
